Dear Taradale Families,
Over the past few days we have experienced reconnection. After our unexpected break, there was such a wonderful buzz in the air as our school community came back together. Staff were excited to catch up—sharing stories, smiles, and ideas as they got ready to welcome students. Students were thrilled to see their friends again, filling the school field with laughter as they looked for familiar faces and favorite teachers.
Our school community is re-establishing our routines for teaching and learning, finding our rhythm again as we settle back into the joy of learning, growing, and connecting. Our school community is re-establishing our routines for teaching and learning.
As we move forward, let’s continue to nurture these connections and embrace the excitement of a fresh start. Thank you for your ongoing support and for being such an important part of our community. We wish all our Taradale families a happy and restful Fall Break.
Fall Break – Nov. 10-12
As was shared with parents on Oct 29; Fall break will proceed as scheduled. There is no school for students from November 10-12. After careful consideration, it was decided that changing the school calendar at this time would impact staffing, transportation, as well as family plans already in place. Classes will resume on November 13.
Student Learning Conferences
Our Student Learning Conferences will be taking place on November 27 and 28. Booking information will be shared next week.
Dress for the weather
This is a reminder that we will be going outside during recess and at lunch for some fresh air to play and socialize with friends. This includes going outside in all types of weather. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather.
Communication
When you have specific questions about your child, your first point of contact is always the classroom teacher. Please email the teacher to book a time to talk. Teachers are not available to talk during school hours as they are teaching. Teachers will respond to email concerns after the school day has concluded or the next school day.
School Council Meeting
Our next school council meeting of the year will be held in the Gathering Space on Tuesday, November 25 at 6:15 pm. This will be our Annual General Meeting. Please join us to learn more about School Council!
