Taradale School Talk  

Principal Update 

February 12, 2025 

Dear Taradale Families: 

Some of our Grade 1 classrooms held their Celebration of Learning yesterday. The theme they chose was Kindness. We have challenged all students think about their actions and show kindness to one another. 

Students will have a few days off school due to Teachers’ Convention and Family Day. We are hoping the weather will warm up so that we can spend more time outside. Enjoy the days with family and friends. 

Morning Supervision 

Morning supervision starts at 8:00 am. We prioritize student safety. Please do not send your child to school prior to 8:00 am when we have teachers on supervision.  Teachers are not on supervision prior to this time.  

Cold Weather 
We continue to go outside for fresh air and activity until the temperature is –20. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather.  When the weather is cold with a temperature of -20 or colder; we will welcome students into the building. 

Communication 

When you have specific questions about your child, your first point of contact is always the classroom teacher. Please email the teacher to book a time to talk. Teachers are not available to talk during school hours as they are teaching. 

Bridge Club: 

There is no Bridge Club today, and we will be starting a new group of students on February 26. If there is space in the program, we will send out information to register. 

Parent Survey: 

You will be getting a separate email with a link to complete a survey on School Development Plan, School Fees and Budget. Your feedback is important in our planning decisions, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. 

School Council 

We had great attendance at our last School Council Meeting that was held online. We will be holding our meeting on February 25 online as well. You will be sent the link on Monday, February 24.
