Taradale Talk - November 24

Dear Taradale Families:

I hope this update finds you all well!  The weather has certainly taken a change this week!  The forecast is for much more snow over the weekend. Students have spent lots of time outside playing in the snow, and getting some fresh air. We are looking forward to our Student-Led Conferences next week!  Please read the important updates below.

Student-Led Conferences

Please book your Student-Led Conferences, the link to book is Booking Conferences

Conferences are held on November 28 and 29

NO SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN on Thursday, November 28

NO SCHOOL KG TO GR 4 on Friday, November 29

Communication

When you have specific questions about your child, your first point of contact is always the classroom teacher. Please email the teacher to book a time to talk. Teachers are not available to talk during school hours as they are teaching.

Morning Arrival

*Taradale School has an early entry at 8:09 am, all Grade1 to 4 students should enter through their assigned doors at the back of the school. The assigned doors will be open for a few minutes after the 8:15 bell goes for students to enter.
*The front main office door is the designated entrance for all Kindergarten students ONLY. Students arriving prior to 8:17 will be asked to go to their assigned doors.

*LATE students should come in through the main front doors and will be marked as LATE in their attendance records.

Please prioritize being on time as instruction begins at 8:15, and students that are late are missing valuable learning time.

Cold Weather
We continue to go outside for fresh air and activity until the temperature is –20. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather.  When the weather is cold with a temperature of -20 or colder; we will welcome students into the building
