Dear Taradale Families: It is wonderful to have the sunshine and warmer temperatures return to us. Spring is definitely on the way. I have noticed more bird activity and other animals too. Before you know it, green buds and sprouts will be popping up. We know our students are excited to spend more time learning outside! Morning Supervision Morning supervision starts at 8:00 am. We prioritize student safety. Please do not send your child to school prior to 8:00 am when we have teachers on supervision. Teachers are not on supervision prior to this time. Playground Supervision We know with the nice weather, students are excited to use the playground. The playground is not on CBE property and is not supervised by teachers either before or after school. Once a student has entered the Taradale school grounds, they are NOT allowed to go to the playground as this is considered an out of boundary area unless they are with their parent/guardian. Students are not permitted to go to the playground unless it is with their own parent/guardian. Parent Teacher Conferences CBE has moved all parent teacher conferences online via TEAMs. Our booking system will be available to parents on Tuesday, March 11. Please see link below for further information on booking conferences. Parent Teacher Conferences Cold Weather We continue to go outside for fresh air and activity until the temperature is –20. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather. When the weather is cold with a temperature of -20 or colder; we will welcome students into the building. We do not have students stay in for recess due to the cold weather. Communication When you have specific questions about your child, your first point of contact is always the classroom teacher. Please email the teacher to book a time to talk. Teachers are not available to talk during school hours as they are teaching. School Council We do not have a school council meeting in March. Please mark your calendar for our next meeting on April 29. More information will be sent out closer to that date.
